Competition Squad Auditions 2018/19

All students aged 9 and in Grade 2 and above are invited to attend to trial out for our competition group for 2018/19. 

Students will need to prepare a 1 minute solo of a genre of your choice, for this audition and must bring music playable via an aux lead (ie on an iPod). It is optional, but advised, to wear a solo costume.

The main purpose of this group is to represent the school and country in international and national competitions. For the next academic year SAA have been invited to compete for a forth year in the IDF World Championships held in Croatia in May 2019. Genres available to compete in include Tap, Modern, Ballet, Contemporary, Commercial and Jazz, in groups and with solos and duets.

Last year our squad also compeated in the Dance Camp at Butlins, Portsmouth Festivals and performed at local events. We have similar events in the pipeline for our new 2018/19 squad as well as the major World Championships.

Students must be able to commit to the weekly Saturday classes, plus adhoc additional rehearsals. If you would like more information about the financials, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
