2017/18 Auditions Announced!

West End Group

All students in Grade 2 and above are invited to attend 10.15am to 11.30am both weeks to trial out for this group, whose main purpose is to represent the school in a theatre in the West End. We are looking for a group of 40 to take to London, who are willing to work hard and are dedicated weekly to the classes. Going forward classes are held on Saturdays 10.15am to 11.30am at Denmead Community Centre at £5.20 (counts towards our multiple class 10% discount scheme). Previously this group have performed at The Royal Albert Hall, Sadlers Wells, Her Majesty's and most recently at The Indigo O2. There is no preparation needed for this class, as it is an open audition run as a class with a routine given on the day.

Disney Squad

All students in Grade 2 and above are invited to attend 11.30am to 12.30pm both weeks to trial out for this group, whose main purpose is to represent the school and country in national competitions. This academic year SAA have been invited to compete for a second year in the IFDPA Disney Dance Championships 8th to 12th March. Genres available to compete in include Tap, Modern, Ballet, Contemporary, Commercial and Jazz, in groups and with solos and duets. Students must be able to commit to the weekly Saturday and Tuesday classes, plus adhoc additional rehearsals. Students will need to prepare a 1 minute solo for this audition and must bring music playable via an aux lead (ie on an iPod).
