Miss Katrina heads up the team as the School Principal after establishing SAA in 2004
Katrina first started training at the age of 4 where she first found her love for dance; by the age of 16 she had danced with the English National Ballet and competed at the All England dance finals.
She then went on to study A Level dance and Advanced GNVQ Diploma in Performing Arts before taking her teaching exams. After many years of doing exams she then went on to train weekly at the BBC Centre in Hertfordshire to perform in the West End whilst teaching part time in Hampshire.
In September 2004 Katrina formed Southern Arts Academy and has since been a dancer on ITV's 'Everybody Dance Now” and Sky Ones ”Just Dance” as well as teaching BTEC and GCSE Dance in schools.
In 2010 she decided to refresh her teaching qualifications in ISTD DDE Tap and Modern and is now currently choreographing and directing her own shows and running a successful dance school with world champion dancers.
Then in February 2021 Katrina established a new business called 'Developing Positive Performance' fusing her two biggest passions of physical and mental health. Alongside SAA this offers a combination of positive mindset coaching and physical health exercises, specifically designed to help clients develop control of their body and mind.
